PINK OCTOBER
Pink October is an annual campaign held worldwide in October, with the intention of alerting society about the early diagnosis of breast cancer. The mobilization also aims at the dissemination of preventive data and highlights the importance of looking closely at health, in addition to fighting for rights such as medical care and emotional support, ensuring quality treatment.
During the month, several institutions approach the topic to encourage women to take their exams and many even make them available. Initiatives like this are fundamental for prevention, since in the early stages, the disease is asymptomatic.
